The Kingdom of Denmark commemorates Grundlovsdag on June 5th (at least some people do…)…perhaps the closest thing to Denmark’s National Day, when, in the 19th century, it signed its Constitution. WE, the People of the United States of America, proudly celebrate our Independence Day on the Fourth of July of each year, commemorating the signing of our Declaration of Independence in 1776. In fact, people get SO excited to be American today, that they trick out their bikes like the above! (ha – ha …) Hey…I’ve never seen a Dannebrog-covered bicycle in Copenhagen!
